Guangzhou has the reputation of ＂capital of food＂. But in recent years, the development of Guangzhou＇s catering enterprises is facing with bottleneck. Many sorts of authoritative evaluation show that food enterprises in Guangzhou lack of market competitive force. The main reason is that Guangzhou has too many small or medium-scale repast enterprises but is lack of large- scale leading enterprises. This article explores the developing predicament of small and medium-scale catering enterprises in Guangzhou, and puts forward suggestions on how to promote the industry development.
