From the viewpoint of system, the intersection area was divided into several conflict areas, and the ship motion mathematical model was applied to calculate the minimum safety distance, and the system model of the intersection area was es- tablished. Simulation analysis was done to analyze the condition of traffic flow in intersection areas. The model has certain refer- ence value for the management and safe operation in intersection areas.
