An improved linear ultrasonic motor based on the bending modal was proposed. Two vertical third-or- der bending vibration of the Langevin vibrators were used. It formed the elliptical track of the driving tip and drove the mover. The ultrasonic amplitude transformer structure was used to amplify the amplitude of the driving tip. The finite-element method was used to design the structure of the stator. The experiment results indicated that at the voltage of 200 V the no-load maximum speed was 113 mm/s and the maximum outout force was 10 N.
