To improve mixing effectiveness under laminar conditions, a 2D T-type mixer with baffles at the inlet of confluent channel was proposed and numerically studied. It was found that the flow structure could be significant changed using unequal inlet momenta due to impinging jets small temperature difference. Asymmetric flow structure and big recirculation zone, which depended strongly on the operating conditions and geometric configurations, were conducive to improving fluid mixing effectiveness.
