The finite element calculation model of the steel and bamboo composite column was established by the finite element analysis software ABAQUS,and geometric nonlinear and material nonlinear was considered. The mechanical properties of the steel and bamboo composite column were analyzed. It explores the impact of different steel board thinkness upon composite structure bearing capability. It can provide the reference for the further research of the steal and bamboo composite structure.
