Introduced is a design on the top-layer system of a new acoustic logging tool, which has the ability to detect the 3-dimensional space around. The tool is based on modular structure, whose key technologies lie in phased arc array acoustic transmitters and azimuthal array receivers. The significant creativities of the structure and electronic system of this tool are: the high-speed and high-precision synchronous data acquisition circuit as well as the multi-channel signal process- ing unit which is based on embedded technology are encapsulated in a capsule with the ability to bear high-temperature and high-pressure circumstance, and the capsule is integrated with the transducer array in the acoustic sonde in order to achieve high signal to noise ratio of the complex interconnection. The new generation acoustic logging tool can detect the velocities of various wave modes and anisotropy in stratums by changing detection radius, and achieve imaging of the long-distance geological structure.
