Along with the permeating of economics＇methodology into social science, there comes a new trend in 1990s that is analyzing scientific research issues with economics methods. This trend is far different with ＇economies of science＇ in the theory of ＇science of science＇ in 1950s. This article tries to integrate this new economics of science into traditional framework of ＇science of science＇, reviews the development of ＇new economics of science＇ and foresights this discipline＇s vision taking into the consideration of the emerging ＇science of science policy＇ in recent.
