The paper describes the essence and influence mechanism of the Supervisor - subordinate Guanxi in China based on superior - junior in Chinese culture. For subordinate, SSG has more direct and profound influence on staff than that of general "organization"; for supervisor, the degree of subordinate's trust and love to his supervisor, as well as whether or not subordinate is willing to follow in his supervisor's footsteps may all be influenced by the SSG. This makes SSG in China more complex compared to western countries, and makes its influence on organization members more profound. Therefore, based on literature review, this paper summarizes the concept, structure and measurement, forming process and influence mechanism of SSG, and forecasts the prospect of its research directions.
