The paper describes 2 new species of Philopotamidae from China : Chimarrafluctuata n. sp. and Gunungiella acanthoclada n. sp.. Chimarrafluctuate n, sp. from Henan Province, resembles Chimarra senticosa Sun & Malicky, from Mt. Tianmushan in Zhejiang Province, China, in the structure of male genitalia, but can be easily recognized by the following characters: distal margin of segment Ⅷ fluctuated in dorsal view ; upper portion of each anterior margin of segment Ⅸ projecting forth strongly ; and lower lobe of each preanal appendage in lateral view with a narrower base and slight thickened to distal end. Gunungiella acanthoclada n. sp. from Guangdong Province, differs from other members of the genus in following combined characters: segment X constituted of two parts: upper portion with apex excised deeply into two lobes and each lobe with stylus at distal end; lower portion less sclerotized, long, apex slightly concaved, Each basal joint of inferior appendages with long process densely covered with spines at base. The type specimens are deposited in the Insect Museum of Nanjing Agricultural University.
