To carry out environmental education and development of low carbon community through the act of community residentsperception has an important role and practical significance.The paper built a community of low carbon environmental education evaluation index system and evaluates the present situation community environmental education of Hengyang city based on five cases with questionnaire and interview.The results show that：the residentsawareness of energy conservation and emissions reduction is relatively weak;the occupation,education,age of residents is the important factors influencing the low carbon environmental education perception;residentscultural level is helpful to improve energy conservation and emissions education of knowledge and awareness;older people consciousness of energy conservation and emissions education increaded significantly;Xujiajing district of low carbon environmental protection knowledge and consciousness are relatively low,but higher participation.
