光学玻璃SF6变切深刻划试验的研究

脆性材料的脆塑性转变临界切削深度是影响表面加工质量以及生产率的重要因素。光学玻璃属于典型的脆性材料,具有较高的硬度和脆性,使其在金刚石切削加工中的可加工性较差。为改善其加工性能、研究切削液对其临界切深的影响,本文选择不同浓度的Na2CO3溶液为切削液,在有、无切削液作用的不同条件下进行了光学玻璃SF6变切深刻划试验。利用共聚焦显微镜检测了SF6材料的临界切削深度,研究了切削液对临界切削深度的影响。试验结果表明采用Na2CO3溶液作切削液可提高光学玻璃SF6材料的临界切削深度。

英文摘要:

In diamond cutting of optical glasses,the magnitude of critical depth of cut for brittle-ductile transition is an important factor affecting the surface quality and the production rate. Optical glass belongs to the typical brittle material. With high hardness and high brittleness,optical glass has poor machinability in diamond cutting. In this work,scratching tests with increasing depths of cut were conducted on glass SF6 under different cutting conditions,i.e. dry cutting and wet cutting in which Na2CO3 solutions of different concentrations were selected as cutting fluids. The resulting scratches were examined utilizing a white light interferometer and the values of the critical depth of cut were determined based on the observations of the confocal microscopy of the scratch surfaces produced. The effect of the cutting fluid properties on the critical depth of cut was investigated. Experimental results indicated that compared with the process without cutting fluid action,the critical depth of cut in diamond cutting of glass SF6 can be increased by using Na2CO3 solution as the cutting fluid.
