Calcium sulphate whisker is a new nonmetal material prepared from gypsum. Research was carried out on preparing epoxy resin adhesive with calcium sulphate whisker as the filler, and the investigation on the effect of calcium sulphate whisker on the performances of epoxy resin adhesive was also made. The comparison with several commonly used fillers indicates that calcium sulphate whisker can improve the tensile strength by 50% - 120% and the shear strength by 40% - 140%, an evident effect, illustrating that it is very fine filler for adhesives.
