高分子力化学是建立在高分子化学与力学基础上的交叉学科,研究高分子材料在应力作用下的力活化、力降解、力合成(交联、共聚),用物理方法解决高分子材料制备和加工中的化学问题。四川大学徐僖院士是中国高分子力化学的创始人,自上世纪50年代以来,他带领研究团队将球磨、超声波、高速搅拌、磨盘研磨、气流粉碎等力化学技术应用于高分子溶液、熔体及固体等体系,建立了基于力化学的高分子合成与制备新理论,制备了一系列用常规化学方法难以制备的高性能高分子材料,具有简便、高效、经济、清洁的特点,为高分子材料的高性能化、多功能化以及废弃高分子材料回收利用提供新途径。本文简要介绍了徐僖院士及其研究团队在高分子力化学方面的部分研究工作。
Polymer mechanochemistry is an interdiseipline based on polymer chemistry and mechanics, studying the activation, degradation and synthesis (crosslinking and copolymerization) of polymer materials induced by stress. Prof. Xu Xi, an academician of Chinese Academy of Science, was the founder of the Chinese polymer mechanochemistry. Since the 1950s, he and his research team from Sichuan university have applied ball milling, ultrasound, high speed stirring, pan- milling, jet milling, etc. , to polymer solution, melt and solid, so as to develop novel polymer materials with high- performances, providing simple, efficient, economic and clean methods for preparation of high-performance and multi- functional polymer materials as well as recycling and reutilization of waste polymer materials. This paper briefly introduces a part of the research work on polymer mechanochemistry of Prof. Xu Xi and his research team.
