Objective To investigate the effect of indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenase （IDO） on proliferation and migration of human choriocarcinama JEG-3 cells. Methods JEG-3 cell function was studied by IDO inhibitor （1-L-MT） or shRNA. The proliferation and migration of JEG-3 cells were determined by MTT assay and Transwell system, respectively. Results shRNA knockdown significantly decreased IDO expression. 1-L-MT and shRNA knockdown of IDO decreased the proliferation and migration of JEG-3 cells. Conclusion The inhibitory of IDO can suppress the proliferation and migration of trophoblast cells in vitro.
