微积分是在经济管理类专业普遍开设的一门公共数学课,也是一些学生"考研"的必考科目之一。然而,数学的抽象性和枯燥性使得许多学生望而生畏。数学史是研究数学发展过程与规律的科学。在微积分教学中,通过还原知识的历史背景,有意识地向学生介绍有关数学史的知识,如创立者的感人事迹、治学态度与方法,数学家的趣味故事,数学定义和定理的来龙去脉等,将数学教学纳入到文化的轨道上来,可以使学生了解数学思想的形成过程,加深对数学本身的认识,尽量消除数学的枯燥性,让学生体验微积分的价值、欣赏微积分,促进学生对微积分的认知。
Calculus is a generally opened course in specialty of economics and management,and also one of compulsory graduate examination subjects.Abstract and boredom of calculus make many students depressed.Math history course is a science to study the development process and law of math.In the calculus teaching,through reduction of knowledge history background,we are conscious to introduce mathematical history knowledge to students,such as the moving story of the founder,scholarship attitude and methods,interesting mathematicians stories,and origins of mathematical definitions and theorems.The introduction of culture of mathematics can make students understand the formation process of mathematical thinking and deepen understanding of the nature of mathematics,eliminate the tedious nature of mathematics teaching,make students experience the value of calculus,then enjoy calculus,promote student awareness of calculus.
