The titled compound was synthesized by 4- nitro-phthalonitrile, cadmiun chloride, urea, ammonium molybdate, through 4 - naphthoxy - phthalonitrile, with the method of melting. The product was determined by elemental analysis, IR, UV, MS. The electronic absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra of the compound in DMSO,DMF,have been measured and studied.
