Xinjiang special regional situation and social conditions play an important role in the ideological work of national unity education. The previously conducted national unity education in colleges and universities of Xinjiang focuses mainly on the broad masses of students, but the role of college teachers should also not be ignored, considering that they, as the backbone of national unity education, have important responsibilities of being a model of virtue, teaching and preaching. Only if college teachers realize the importance of national unity, can they better educate students and help them set up firm faith.
