Experimental organic chemisty is one of the main courses for majors of chemistry and specialties related to chemistry at colleges or universities.Based on our own teaching experiences on experimental organic chemistry and taking the disproportionation of benzaldehyde for example,the authors discuss how to design the teaching plan from the following aspects： teaching mechanism,designing reaction,answering questions and results and discussion.
