With the development of the researches on oasis ecology in arid areas, the understanding and knowledge to connotation of oasis is continually deepened and enriched. Based on summing up many scholars＇ researches on oasis ecology arid areas, the paper elaborates the connotation of oasis, probes into the ecological system structure of oasis and prospects the main directions of researches on oasis ecology in arid areas
