After briefly describing the fundamental characteristics of wireless delay and disruption tolerant sensor networks （ WDTSN）, this paper proposed the architecture of WDTSN based on its network structure. Then introduced some application scenarios. Finally, pointed out the open research issues on WDTSN to motivate new research and development in this area.
