The method to study phosphorus capacity in slags by means of gas-slag-metal equilibrium was analyzed, and phosphorus capacity of CaO-SiO2-Al2O3-MgO-Fe2O slag was measured by this method. The correct selecting gas mixture and and time for previous preparation of suitable related alloys and pre-fused slags is necessary to test. Reaction vessel equilibrium are the key factors for sucessful measurement.
