The removal of Steroid Estrogens （SEs） in water treatment process and control approach were reviewed systematically and comprehensively. The results demonstrated that the current water treatment process can＇t remove SEs effectively, and it will be transformed in water treatment process. According to research progress on removal of SEs, The future research directions were proposed, at present, it was urgent to carry out Toxicity Reduction engineering research under SEs elimination condition, which provided scientific foundation and technical direction to ensure aquatic environmental safety.
