为了提高电火花加工的工作效率,以氧气与自来水通过雾化后产生的气雾作为放电介质,进行电火花放电烧蚀成形加工实验,分析了气雾混合介质条件下电火花放电烧蚀加工极间雾滴之间的“串联放电”特性和雾滴对极间放电烧蚀能量的分散作用。通过与纯氧中的放电烧蚀加工及内冲液电火花加工的试验对比,结果表明:气雾混合介质下的烧蚀加工,材料去除率较纯氧气中烧蚀加工提高近20%,较内冲液电火花加工提高约4.6倍,电极质量相对损耗较内冲液电火花加工降低近65%,且成型精度较高,楞角倒圆半径较内冲液电火花加工减小约35%。
In order to improve the efficiency of electrical discharge machining ( EDM) , with the aerosol generated by atomization of oxygen and tap water as the discharge medium, a spark-induced combustion experiment is done. The“tandem discharge”feature of droplets between electrodes and the dispersion effect of combustion energy af-fected by droplets in spark-induced combustion are analyzed.The comparison experiments between spark-induced combustion in pure oxygen medium and inner jetted dielectric EDM showed that the material removal rate ( MRR) of combustion in aerosol medium is improved by almost 20%more than pure oxygen.It also showed MRR being 4. 6 times higher than jetted dielectric EDM.The relative tool wear ratio ( TWR) decreases by 65%compared with EDM in jetted dielectric EDM.In addition, its forming accuracy is also high.The edge-rounding radius is reduced by nearly 35%compared with EDM in jetted dielectric EDM.
