Based on the summary of previous work,a transportation and economic development interaction model is established.The parameters of the model are validated with related historical data.The characteristics of transportation and economic development in China are revealed from the aspects of development and infrastructure gap between areas,distribution of social investments,contribution of transportation and transportation development and suggestions are made according to the characteristics to promote equilibrium development of areas.
