Let { Xk,1 ≤ k ≤ n} be independent and identically distributed random variables,X( 1),X( 2),…,X( n)be their order statistics. The probability density function,expectation and variance of extreme order statistics,( X( i),X( j)) and X( 1),X( n)were derived when the population followed two-parameter Burr Ⅲ distribution. The explicit formulas for the higher origin moment about X( k)( 1 ≤ k ≤ n) were also obtained. Besides,the asymptotic distributions of the extreme order statistics and were discussed.
