The effect of environmental factors on the degradation of florfenicol in marine sediment was studied. The degradation of florfenicol in the marine sediment could be described by the first-order kinetics equation.The increase of temperature was benefit to the degradation of florfenicol in the sediment from 10 to 30℃. But the degradation rate decreased when the temperature reached 40℃. The microorganism and organic matter affected the degradation rate of florfenicol in the sediment significantly (the degradation half-life of florfenicol was 1.70 d in the untreated sediment, while 6.73 and 11.64 d in the sterilized and no organic matter sediment respectively). The oxygen did not affect the degradation much, and the degradation rate under anaerobic condition was slightly more rapid than that under aerobic condition.
