On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of the point cloud from line-structure light scanning, the algorithms of data reduction for measured data were discussed, which include data reduction for base plane and chord-angular deviation. Optimizing criterions of scattered data based on Delaunay triangulation and Liang's method of constructing triangular meshes between two scanning lines were introduced, and an meliorating algorithm of triangulation was proposed, which was triangulation for line-structure scanned data based on optimizing criterions of Delaunay triangulation.
