This paper examines the impact of innovative competition and knowledge spillover in industrial cluster on the adoption of potential dominant design.The empirical test result shows as follows：innovation competition in industrial cluster is helpful for the formation of dominant design,and knowledge spillover also has a positive influence on the formation of dominant design;innovation competition among enterprises positively regulates the relationship between knowledge spillover and the formation of dominant design.
