The book 《The Bering Sea and Aleutian Island: Region of Wonders》which written by Terry Johnson has been published by Alaska Sea Grant in 2003. Terry Johnson is a Marine Advisory Program (MAP) agent and professor of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (SFOS). The book is divided into eight chapters, 191 pages, more than 450 color photos, maps and other figures, 88 references. It described hydrological and geographical features of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands and its surrounding areas in detail. It included geographical elements, natural environment, human ecology and resources, energy and so on. The author sums up the new achievements in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands regional hydrologic exploration, which has an important reference value for the study and understanding of China's cold waters.
