This article firstly defined the ecological economy and weighted composite index method. Then it introduced the analyzing index methods from qualitative and quantitative aspects. At the same time, taking Guizhou Province as an example, it explored how to apply the Weighted Composite Index Method to analyzing the development of ecological economy, including analyzed items, weithts, the measurement, the forthcoming gains and the final expected social result. Finally, the paper discussed the fitness about the weighted composite index method.
