Acidizing and sand fracturing are two effective stimulation practices. The acidizing works mainly by removing plugging materials inside pores and fractures or by enlarging built-in fracture and pore sizes so as to increase pay zone permeability. The sand fracturing is supporting induced fracture by hydraulic power with sand to improve formation flow conductivity. The combination of acidizing and fracturing is divided into two series, direct combination and indirect one. A lot of field cases were used to analyze technical features and working mechanism of various combination practices, which is very important for using this technique widely.
