The multiple-input multiple-output radar uses multiple antennas to simultaneously transmit and receive separable waveforms. Optimizing the transmit waveforms can improve the performance of the radar. Walsh codes and Pseudo random codes are easy to construct, but they have drawbacks of high cross correlation and auto-correlation sidelobes. Complete complementary codes have better correlation properties, and the range sidelobes are zero, so that they can be used in still target imaging.
