Industrial land sprawl, affective and leading, is the main body of land sprawl of small town. How to control and guide industrial land sprawl of small town is the key of sustainable utilization of land resource. The paper analyzed the mechanism of industrial land sprawl of small town in the four aspects： agglomeration and diffusion of large city, village development, internal environment of small town, policy and regime. Then the paper took Tongcheng County and Xiantao City of Hubei as examples for empirical analysis.
