The effect of mechanically activated stored energy of sphalerite on the dissolution reaction kinetics was investigated preliminarily according to the transition state theory. The ratio of the rate constant of the mechanically activated sphalerite to non-mechanically activated ones can be expressed in k2/k1=exp(E/RT) during the digestion reaction controlled by chemical reaction.
