This paper used LARS to realize the Lasso process to get the weight of each factors choose from 12 possible factors and the normal Lasso estimation model. The results show that：the energy structure is the main reason for the formation of carbon footprint; population, economy of scale and energy intensity are significant factors influencing the carbon footprint; city level, population structure, industrial structure, the metastasis of carbon footprint, the proportion of clean energy and the public transportation development level is an important factor affecting the carbon footprint of the influence; the rate of economic development and the consumption level of residents is not significant.
