To explore the decision-making mechanism of urban residence location and workplace choice,the residence location choice model and workplace choice model were formulated respectively using mixed logit method.The model parameters were estimated using the data from a questionnaire survey,which was carried out in 28 communities of Beijing,In the survey,totally 2520 questionnaires were distributed,and 1994 questionnaires were collected and proved to be effective.The results indicate that the ＂travel distance＂ is the most important factor influencing residence location and workplace choice.Moreover, ＂the number of rail transit station＂ is the main factor affecting residence location choice,and the ＂travel cost＂ is the main factor affecting workplace choice.
