An equivalent circuit model of tunneladder traveling wave tubes (TWTs) was constructed. By the combination of the equivalent circuit method and simulation software, the dispersion, interaction impedance and attenuation of the tunneladder TWT were calculated. The discrepancy of dispersion between the results by equivalent circuit and those of experiments is within O. 5%, and that of interaction impedance is within 10%. The computer time of the equivalent circuit is only several tenths of that calculated by HFSS.
