分形方法可以模拟传统欧氏几何方法所不能描述的各种自然景物,如云层,山脉等。对分形自然景物模拟中的随机中点位移法和分形插值算法进行了回顾和分析,给出了基于Diamond-Square算法的山峰纹理图和蓝天白云的详细设计和迭代实现过程。OpenGL试验的结果表明分形插值算法对自然景物的模拟非常逼真,可以在虚拟场景的自然景物生成中得到应用。
The fractal geometry can simulate natural objects such as clouds, mountains more efficiently than conventional Euclidean geometry, A review and analysis of the random midpoint-displacement method and fractal interpolation algorithm is made; the design and iterative implementation of the texture of the ridge and clouds in the sky based on diamond-square algorithm are also given in detail. Simulation with OpenGL shows that the fractal interpolation algorithm can be used to generate realistic natural objects in virtual scenery.
