总结回顾了拜耳法赤泥的催化应用研究现状,讨论了赤泥的改性处理方法、催化特性和涉及的反应机理,并与其他铁系催化剂和商业催化剂进行了比较分析.指出拜耳法赤泥是现有商业催化剂的一种良好替代品,对许多反应都具有潜在的催化应用价值.

英文摘要：

The research status of Bayer process red mudrs catalytic applications are reviewed. The modification methods, catalytic properties and reaction mechanisms of red mud are discussed, and compared with iron oxide cata- lyst and commercial catalysts. It is showed that Bayer process red mud is a good alternative to the existing commercial catalysts, and an attractive potential catalyst for many reactions.
