This experiment was aimed to determine the activity of Na^+-K^+-ATPase in rats' cerebral cortex region and investigate the relationship between specificity anesthetic for deer and Na^+-K^+-ATPase in cerebral cortex. 32 SD rats were randomly divided into control group, induction group, anesthesia group and the wake group. Rats of the control were injected with saline(30 m L / kg),rats of the other group were injected with drug(30 mg / kg). The samples of cerebral cortex in different period were separated and the activities of Na^+-K^+-ATPase were determined by using colorimetry methods. The results showed that the activities of Na^+-K^+-ATPase in cerebral cortex after administration were decreased obviously compared with that in the control group(P〈0.05 or P〈0.01). It indicated that the changes of the activity of Na^+-K^+-ATPase in the cerebral cortex were correlated with the specificity anesthetic for deer.
