摘要:针对预取协调算法存在的缺点进行改进,增加3个计数器,根据计数器的值分析预取协调的参数,以更精确地调整预取算法的积极性,提高存储系统效率.研究结果表明,改进的预取协调算法(IHPC)可以降低随机请求时服务器端的缺失率,还可应用于异构系统结构.当它应用于异构系统时,服务器端使用的预取算法的性能决定了整个系统的性能。
Prefetching coordinate algorithm can effectively improve the efficiency of a storage system; however, its shortcomings limit performance increase of the storage system. The algorithm cannot be used in heterogeneous storage systems for these defects. This paper analyzes the two shortcomings and proposesan improved method. The new algorithm adds three counters to make more detailed analysis of the parameters of prefetching coordinator. Then, it can accurately adjust the aggressiveness of the prefetching algorithm. Result shows that the improved prefetching algorithm IHPC can not only reduce the miss rate of theserver in random requests, but also be used in the heterogeneous system architecture. The performance of the storage system depends only on the performance of the prefetching algorithm in server-side.
