Antimicrobial peptides ( AMPs), are a class of small peptides that widely exist in many creatures in nature, and they are essential components of the innate immune system. AMPs, as a potential alternative to the traditional antibiotics, gain more extensive attention ; however, the resistance of bacteria to AMPs as well as to antibiotics should not be ignored. This review summarized the resistance of bacteria to AMPs and it' s mechanism from three aspects of planktonic bacteria, biofilm and signal regulatory.
