In order to improve the library catalog business efficiency and bibliography metadata resources sharing, according to diversi fled management platform, research of libraries and publishers union catalog based on web services was carried out. It firstly introduced basic concepts of SOA and Web services, combined with characteristics of REST framework, research of web service of library and press collabora tire cataloging based on REST was proposed. It implemented library combined cataloging system and introduced design of server and client, improved the working efficiency of catalog and finally pointed out the future research content.
