Recently, there has been a great interest in the synthesis of copper nanoparticles owing to its special conductivity, thermal conductivity, antibacterial property and catalytic activity. Herein, the recent research pro- gress in the synthesis of copper nanoparticles is reviewed. Various kinds of usual synthetic methods are compared, including the methods of liquid phase reduction, microemulsion, electrochemical reduction, photocatalysis and mi- crowave as well as other synthetic methods.
