Professor SUN Wei-zheng as a national famous old TCM expert, has accumulated more than forty years of experience especially in treating hematopathy with integration of Chinese and western medicine. Professor SUN Wei-zheng is good at treating hematopathy with polyporus umbellatus, and he thinks that polyporus umbellatus has the effect of ‘removing toxicity and promoting diuresis to eliminate pathogens, dredging and regulating sanjiao to harmonize zang-fu viscera＇. Modern medical research showed that polyporus umbellatus has the pharmacology effects of immunological regulation, anti-tumor and reducing the adverse reaction caused by chemotherapeutics. This paper summarized professor SUN Wei-zheng＇s clinical experience and academic thoughts, in order to provide reference for treating hematopathy in clinic.
