神经富亮氨酸重复家族成员LRRN3(leucine-rich repeat neuronal protein 3)是一种在进化上高度保守,功能多样,由多个连续的LRR结构域、纤维连接蛋白3型结构域(FNⅢ)及IgC2样结构构成的跨膜蛋白,通过介导细胞间粘附作用对神经系统发育起调节作用.已有证据表明,LRRN3除了在神经系统的发生、分化、损伤修复等过程中起作用,还与孤独症等精神障碍的发生密切相关,是神经系统发育过程中重要的蛋白,但目前人们对其生理功能、作用机制及临床意义知之甚少.LRRN3的结构、功能及其与人类疾病间的关系将被重点阐述.
As a member of neural leucine-rich repeat protein family,LRRN3 is an evolutionarily conserved transmembrane protein with diverse functions.LRRN3 is composed of a number of consecutive LRR do-mains,fibronectin type Ⅲ-like domain(FNⅢ) and immunoglobulin-like C2 type domain(IgC2).It regulates the development of neural system through mediating cell adhesion.It has been well demonstrated that LR-RN3 not only participates in neural development,differentiation and damage repair,but also relates to the occurrence of mental disorders such as autism.Although LRRN3 plays an essential role in the development of neural system,little is know about its function,mechanism as well as clinical significance.The structure and function of LRRN3 as well as its relationship with human diseases are reviewed.
