Under mechanochemical milling（MM400） and solvent-free conditions,reduction of aromatic nitro compounds with sodium hydrosulfite can be accomplished efficiently within 1 h,affording the corresponding amines in moderate to almost quantitative yield（79%~95%）.This transformation was accomplished at room temperature with very high efficiency and chemoselectivity,thus the work-up and purification procedure were very simple.All the products were characterized with mp,IR and 1H NMR.
