The learning center has gradually become an importantlearning supporting facility in international higher education.Thispaper introduces the development background,function andbuilding objective of the learning center of The University of Sydney(USYD)in Australia,and expounds that its core mission is toensure teaching quality and to provide support for students fromdiverse backgrounds to adapt to learning.The learning center isoriented by the cultivation of students'learning ability throughupdating courses,supporting students from diverse backgroundsand infiltrating a research-oriented working attitude into teachingand learning.The learning center of USYD is suggested as valuablereference to domestic higher education,in the field of educationalconcept,function construction,humanistic care and micro-teaching process.
