Aiming at the status of FuMeng county＇s arable land,this paper was conducted on the basis of GIS technology to investigate varied factors affecting the cultivated land fertility using 13 chosen evaluation indicators including topsoil nutrients＇ status,physical and chemical characters,soil profile characters and stand condition.Appling analytical hierarchy process（AHP） and fuzzy evaluation to evaluate quantitatively FuMeng county＇s arable land and provide the scientific basis for efficient and sustainable use of the cultivated land in Fumeng county.
