Students observed the familiar Dong drum towers under the guidance of teachers. The students calculated the height of the drum tower through measuring and communicating by themselves, and then summarized and rethink on this activity, through which the students＇ experience was accumu- late, and mathematics learning become more active and more close to the real life. From this, it can cultivate the students＇ ability of observation and their ability of using mathematical knowledge to solve practical problems comprehensively. At the same time, it cultivated the students＇ problem conscious- ness, application consciousness and innovation consciousness.
